Cameras include outdoor cameras, such as security surveillance cameras, electronic police surveillance cameras, and indoor cameras include conference cameras, computer cameras, etc. Because of different use environments, people will pay different attention when purchasing cameras. Today, the security camera manufacturer will introduce the selection skills of outdoor surveillance cameras
1. Night vision function
Outdoor monitoring usually requires high night vision function. At present, there are three night vision modes for home monitoring: infrared night vision, starlight night vision and full-color night vision.
The infrared night vision is a standard configuration. Through the infrared night vision technology, the surveillance camera will get black and white images at night.
Starlight night vision refers to the use of large aperture and higher sensitivity sensors, which can obtain clear color images at lower illuminance, but still turn to infrared mode at very low light. Full color night vision will automatically turn on the soft fill light under low illumination to ensure color images.
In contrast, starlight night vision imaging is better and will not produce light source pollution, but the cost is higher. Full color night vision can ensure that there are color images at night, which can be considered according to the environment and budget.
2. Waterproof
The waterproof of outdoor camera shall be at least IP66, that is, it can completely prevent dust and water jet for a long time.
3. Monitoring scope
The requirements of different monitoring ranges determine the selection of camera lens focal length.
Generally speaking, the larger the focal length of the lens, the smaller the monitoring range, but the farther you can see. The following figure can be used as a simple reference:
